New Survival TV show

So I was watching TV with my brother and sister the other day, and on Cartoon Network there was a show called "Survive This." It was about a bunch of different kids from different backgrounds who had to survive in the wilderness. At random points, the host, that Les guy that we saw in the "I shouldn't be Alive Lost in the Snow" episode, would come in to their survival camp thing and ask them all "Who wants out" which is a kind of cheesy phrase but means "who gives up and wants to go home." It is a good show, like "I shouldn't be Alive" but somehow more educational on our and their part, because they (and consequently us) are learning from Les and his "Survival School" that he sent them too "before" the show started filming. It shows that it is hard to survive and that survival is not coming out all right, it is the will to live. It was touching to see the spoiled girl named Becca (Princess) crying and the guy named Adam (Sports Guy), I think, get used to not as much food. (they conveniently had some from the bus that conveniently tipped over) I am sharing this for next years survival unit, because it is way less gruesome than "I shouldn't be Alive" but it still shows how to survive, without any help other than each other. (and the camera crew and directors and medical people waiting on the sidelines just in case)

The Favorite Book

We took a survey of the whole class on what book they liked the best. The winner is..... Touching Spirit Bear! By Ben Mikaelasen!

One of our editors strongly agrees with that....

Here are the results:

Touching Spirit Bear- 8

Hatchet- 5

The Breadwinner- 5

The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle- 2

The Cay- 2

The Devils Arithmetic- 0

Number The Stars- 0

Incredible Journey- 0

Please note that these are not percentages out of the people who read them, so they are not all the way accurate. This was because SOME of the editors were to lazy to do the math and the minimal research.

Thank you for paricipating in this survey, and we are sorry if the results don't please you.
